After coring and saving the seeds for a future gardening project, students in gardening/cooking club turned their apple slices into Apple Nachos and Apple Roll-Ups.🍎🍫🍏










Ms. Main came in to visit our kindergarten classes to teach a nutrition lesson this morning. She talked about snap peas and what the process of growing one will look like. After their lesson, our kindergarten students were able to plant their own snap pea plant and will be able to watch it grow this spring! 🌱🫛











Third grade staff and students had a great afternoon during their Coffee and Curriculum. Way to go, third grade!










Mrs. Millard has been working with our Pre-K 4 friends with identifying letters on the keyboard during their weekly computer class. Way to go, Pre-K!

Each year the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) surveys parents of children receiving special education services in the State. The purpose of the survey – The Maryland Special Education Parent Involvement Survey – is to hear from parents about how well they think their child’s school is partnering with them and promoting parent involvement in their child’s education.

2nd grade students are arriving back to school early from their field trip. They should be back to the school at 3:35. Park on the road in front of the school and walk to the front to pick up your student. Please see your students teacher before taking them for the day.


Last week, Mrs. Dryden's Pre-K class's eggs hatched that they have been watching for 21 days. They had been working on the theme from Farm to Table, so it was a great way to close out that theme and move on to talking about animals that hatch from an egg!






After planting broccoli, peppers and cucumbers, students in Ms. Dize and Mrs. Pendry's cooking and gardening club created spring art with vegetables to show what their seeds will become over the summer months. 🥗🥦🥕🥒

Mrs. Smith's second grade class did a classroom investigation with soil, sand and rocks in order to identify what makes up the Earth's surface. Great job, second grade! We have some future scientists on our hands! 🌎🧑🏽🔬






Tuesday, April 1st our 2nd grade classes will be traveling to Port Discovery. Please have your 2nd grade students at school by 6:20 a.m.. Buses will be leaving at 6:30. Students may dress in school appropriate casual attire. Students are expected to return between 4:00 and 4:30. Please make sure you are connected by Rooms with your students teacher. This will be a great way to communicate with them during the trip.
